JohnDo you enjoy a pint? Have you ever discussed your ambitions to get away from life behind a desk and free yourself from the 9 - 5 shackles.

Well I’m turning it into reality and looking for your support to make it worthwhile and prove that it can be a force for good.

I’m raising money for the Philip Green Memorial Trust by sailing around the world even though I don’t know how to sail yet! I’m asking you to “donate a pint” (or two…!) to this fabulous charity that helps sick and disabled children all over the UK and overseas. It supports welfare, medical and educational projects as well as helping individual children to lead a normal life.

All the money you donate goes to the charity and raising this money is entirely voluntary. I’m not obliged to do it but I’d like to use the opportunity I’ve been given to “do a little good” for others who will never be in a position to take advantage of similar opportunities.

Could you add a pint to your next round? I’m asking people to join me in buying the equivalent of 11,665 pints (plus half a shandy!) in order to raise £35,000 to match the 35,000 mile voyage that I’m undertaking. Please click the “Donate a pint” button below to show your support and then forward this link onto others and encourage them to support me in my quest to find 11,665 pints (plus half a shandy). With your support, we can do it!

You can follow my progress through high seas, sea sickness, storms and ‘the doldrums’ through my blog, which I will update when we arrive in a new port. If you happen to be close to one of the ports at the right time (see my route for details), please do come along, say hello and cheer us on!

Thanks in anticipation of your support,

John
